digital equity project
This training was made possible by AARTH and funding from King County Corona Virus Relief Digital Equity and the Veterans, Seniors & Human Services Levy Grants.
The Project
The impact of COVID-19 have greatly impacted everyone’s lives and livelihood, this is particularly true for those most vulnerable in our community such as African American and African born seniors. Social distancing has contributed to isolation from families, friends, and social engagement for many. AARTH in partnership with King County’s Digital Equity grant are working to bridge the digital divide by offering a limited number of laptops including basic training and internet/WiFi support services.
Goal:
To bridge the digital divide for African American & African born (Ethiopian & Kenyan) individuals ages 55 & above.
